Scope: Provided geotechnical and environmental services for design and construction of a new multi-story forensic behavioral health facility for Hawaii State Hospital. The new 180,000 square foot building replaces an older demolished facility and is planned to have 144 beds dedicated to patients. In addition, two parking lots totaling 255 stalls and a small, light central plant building are planned to be built on the hospital campus. Services included geotechnical design and investigations, environmental site assessments, engineering analysis, slope stability analysis, crane pad evaluation, soils laboratory testing, and geotechnical consultation, on-site earthwork monitoring, and compaction testing during construction.
